There are fewer things more beautiful than a flowering lotus and we will be blessed this year with what looks to be four blooms. The blooms do not last long; last year we missed it entirely while we were up in Michigan. That was early August, so this year is early, or at least earlier than last year (which was a cool summer, while this year has been warmer than normal). And, it looks like one of the water lilies is going to pop with two or three blossoms in the next few days. More pics to follow, I'm sure. For now, please enjoy these. Sorry, I had to stick in another "frond" photo...but the wind was down this morning, allowing for a sharper leaf edge.
